The Palmerston Golf Course was originally constructed in 1995 and then redesigned in 2005 to include the new 9 (Durack side) in 2005 by course designer, Glenn Campbell. The Palmerston Golf Course is set in tropical surrounds, and the par-71 golf course is a pleasant walk for players of all standards, offering an interesting mix of short and long holes, framed by tall stands of native trees and waterways. The front and back nine straddle University Avenue and this offers two contrasting nine holes. This was intended as a unique design feature for the par-71 golf course.
